Personal Training Styles
Functional Training
A classification of exercise which involves training the body for activities performed in daily life.
Interval Training
A type of physical training that involves bursts of high intensity work. The high intensity work is alternated with periods of rest or low intense activity. Depending on the length of exercise and rest periods, it may be anaerobic or aerobic training.
Circuit Training
Going quickly from one exercise apparatus to another and doing a prescribed number of exercises or time on each apparatus, keeps pulse rate high and promotes overall fitness by generally working all muscle groups as well as heart and lungs.
Group Fitness
Cardio is a necessary evil. We should do it but lack the motivation. Here at FITNEXT we take cardio to a fun challenging level. Running on treadmills and paddling stationary bikes are boring! Our group fitness classes are tailored to beginner or advanced individuals looking to sculpt muscles and burn fat. Check it out!

Cardio Combat
This martial art based aerobic session is geared toward beginners and advanced participants. Sessions can be modified to suit low and high impact needs. Block, punch, kick, KICK BUTT! Come get in shape and attack fat with Cardio Combat.

Step Aerobics
An intense high/lo impact session geared toward shaping and toning the lower body while keeping you healthy and fit. Step aerobics includes instruction to high energy music and creative routines.

Urban Operative
(Boot Camp) Sports drills, calisthenics, plyometrics, and strength/agility training jam packed into a mixture of high/low intensity movements. Performed outdoor or indoor, this boot-camp workout is sure to make you sweat and burn off calories.

Urban Explorer
This is a very popular 90 minute walk around and through downtown Cincinnati. Come burn calories and challenge yourself by treading uphill, downhill, and all terrain while enjoying sites unseen! (Different walking paths dictate the intensity of workouts). There is never a dull moment during this urban exploration!

Urban Excursion
This run/hike adds strength and agility training at designated areas throughout the city. The Urban Excursion provides a new, fun, and exciting twist to your outdoor workouts.

Bounce
This class takes place on the mini trampoline. The workout consists of interval sprints, and plyometric movements geared toward burning calories. This definitely is not your leisure back yard rebounding past time. Come ready to sweat! Also, use this class as an alternative to running indoors vs using a treadmill.

Abs Lab
Perform exercises geared toward strengthening, toning and giving an overall shapely appearance to your core region. This class may be infused with cardio drills to shed fat around your midsection!

Step 30/Abs 15
Why not work out on your lunch break? An intense high/lo impact class geared toward shaping and toning the body while keeping you healthy and fit. This class includes 30 minutes of step aerobics to high energy music and creative routines. Abs 15 tones the entire core region for 15 minutes afterwards!

MMA Circuit
Ever wonder how those Mixed Martial Arts athletes are in awesome shape with chiseled abs and sculpted muscles. MMA Circuit is a 60 minute class full of martial arts techniques, resistance and cardiovascular training designed to give you the ultimate fighter’s edge! Equipment used is heavy bags, jump ropes, mini trampolines, kettle bells and more. (You must provide your own boxing gloves to attend this class)

Yoga
Anusara yoga places emphasis is on proper alignment of the body. This is a vigorous type yoga that will increase your flexibility. Flexibility is not necessary to do yoga but doing yoga will increase your flexibility. Adding Yoga to your work out options will keep you more limber and less muscle bound no matter how developed you are or get. This is not passive yoga, you will sweat!

This is an outdoor workout that combines speed and hill training in the streets of Cincinnati! Geared toward beginner and advanced runners, you will acquire the skills needed for optimal racing performance and health through improved VO2 Max and cardiovascular endurance. Lace up your running shoes and get set because Downtown is the new playground for aerobic fitness training!

Our free running/walking club focuses on working out in groups for endurance training, motivation and accountability! Routes are mapped out around the city and vary in intensity to challenge participants. (Routes are posted on Website, Facebook, and Twitter periodically)

Power Hour
For the self motivated workout fanatic who needs a little guidance on fitness programming! One hour functional, interval and circuit training workouts are pre-planned to build lean muscle and melt fat! Remember, this is not personal training and although workouts are pre-planned, our staff is on hand for safety precautions. It’s up to you to make it happen!

Yoga
In this class you will be guided through a series of poses that will help lengthen tight muscles, build core strength, heighten self confidence and increase calmness of mind! The room temperature will be slightly elevated to facilitate full range of motion in poses and flexibility. By adding Yoga to your workout options you will stay limber and less muscle bound no matter how developed you are or get.

The Gauntlet
This 2 hours fit fest is our most grueling workout format yet! It is designed to challenge you to fitness limits unimaginable! Consisting of indoor resistance training as well as outdoor cardiovascular, speed and agility training we utilize Cincinnati’s vast infrastructure to construct this workout.
